"I am writing this message as feedback for a recent training I attended with a few of my teachers. The PD was called Instructional leadership Toolkit: Science Strand. I have been to many trainings over the years that were good, but the combination of the first day's information and the second day's class observations really worked for my teachers. Each of the 3 who were there for the second day has not only embraced several of the practices, but they have willingly shared their practice with other teachers. Not surprisingly, the biggest impact is with the students. Teachers are reporting that students who often had a difficult time with science in the past are now more successful. The organization of the instructional sequence, the anchoring event, the public notes, and even the giant white boards have all moved our science teaching forward.
